Tim Klein is a photographer who captures and creates joyful moments of connection through stills and motion.
My photography is inspired by people, places, and the little things around me. My background in photojournalism taught me to find beauty everywhere—whether I’m exploring the world or just hanging out in my backyard.
Light is what really captivates me. It can change everything! I love how morning light looks through fog, the bold shadows at noon, the soft glow on cloudy days, and that stunning rose hue at sunset.
I enjoy the energy of run-and-gun shoots, and I also love working on larger stills and motion productions. Capturing real emotion and creating a sense of intimacy is always the goal, whether the moment is candid or more produced. I stay current with evolving technology and use tools like AI, retouching, and compositing when they support the creative process. I’m based in Chicago and travel often for assignments and collaborations. I’m always excited to connect, collaborate, and create something meaningful.
